The steel used for steel structure supports should be straight and free from significant twisting. The length deviation after cutting should be within 5mm, and the cut edges should be free of burrs and rolled edges.

 

The steel supports should be firmly welded and free from significant deformation. The vertical clearance between each cross brace of the support should meet the design requirements, with a deviation not exceeding 2mm. The clearance between layers should be no less than twice the cable outer diameter plus 10mm; for oil-filled cables, it should be no less than twice the cable outer diameter plus 50mm.

 

Cable supports should be installed firmly, horizontally and vertically. The cross braces of each cable support on the same layer should be on the same horizontal plane, with a height deviation not exceeding 5mm. Cable supports installed in sloping cable trenches or buildings should have the same slope as the cable trench or building. The minimum distance from the cross brace of the cable support to the top of the trench, floor slab, or bottom of the trench should be specified.

 

The vertical deviation of the assembled steel structure shaft should not exceed 0.2% of its length, the horizontal error of the support cross braces should not exceed 0.2% of its width, and the diagonal deviation of the shaft should not exceed 0.5% of its diagonal length.

 

The fabrication and installation of cable trays should meet the design requirements.

 

Cable supports must be coated with anti-corrosion primer first, and the paint application should be uniform and complete.

 

Cable supports located in humid, hot, salt spray, or chemically corrosive areas should undergo special anti-corrosion treatment or hot-dip galvanizing. Alternatively, supports can be made from other materials with good corrosion resistance.
