Managing Unbalanced Tension and Uneven Ice
One of the biggest risks for this tower is uneven ice shedding. Ice can melt on one side of the line but not the other. This creates a twisting force. Sourcing High-Strength, Heavy-Section Steel
Steel for the 500kV Transmission Tower is not standard inventory. We order specific grades like Q420 or Q460. These steels are strong but require careful welding. Our procurement team books these materials early. We secure the supply chain well before production starts. This prevents bottlenecks. We also test every incoming plate for chemical composition.
