03 PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT
Managing Unbalanced Tension and Uneven Ice
One of the biggest risks for this tower is uneven ice shedding. Ice can melt on one side of the line but not the other. This creates a twisting force. The 500kV Transmission Tower must resist this torsion. We design the cross-bracing and diagonal members specifically for these forces. We also simulate broken conductor conditions. If a wire snaps, the sudden release of tension creates a shock load. Our tower design absorbs this shock without collapsing. We test these scenarios in our software before we cut any steel.

Full-Scale Trial Assembly for Critical Sections

06 CERTIFICATIONS




Sourcing High-Strength, Heavy-Section Steel
Steel for the 500kV Transmission Tower is not standard inventory. We order specific grades like Q420 or Q460. These steels are strong but require careful welding. Our procurement team books these materials early. We secure the supply chain well before production starts. This prevents bottlenecks. We also test every incoming plate for chemical composition. We reject any plate that does not match the certificate. Your tower will have consistent strength throughout.
